High-field SiC and GaN American University Summer details combined with high thermal conductivity of SiC is the main reason for the performance of this component. Compared with traditional semiconductors such as silicon and gallium arsenide semiconductor band gap width offers a theoretical improvement on an order of magnitude. At Chalmers we are developing GaN-HEMTs for power applications and microwave sensing. The method for monolithic integration with passive devices have also been developed. The result is a technology for the manufacture of semiconductor integrated circuits monolithically wide band gap (KBD-MMIC).
Required qualifications
We are American University Summer looking for PhD students with a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics, preferably with knowledge in microwave electronics and solid state physics. Experience in one field of semiconductor processing KBD will be an important merit. You must be a good team player and have the ability to take initiative.
