American University Summer This scholarship was created in 1999 to honor the late Mary Alice Hartigan. Friends, family and co-workers from Mrs.Hartigan make a contribution to the Heartland Foundation for a scholarship to serve as a tribute to the years of dedication to the nursing profession and dedication to the field of surgical services.

This American University Summer is a scholarship endowed, so that the amount of funds available to the receiver mainly depends on the interest earned from investing the funds. The frequency and amount of the scholarship award (s) will be at the discretion of the scholarship selection committee. American University Summer Criteria
Qualified applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Minimum enrollment of 12 hours of study during a regular semester or a full-time equivalent status in the service program accredited / approved nursing or surgical
• Maintain a good enough average value and meet acceptable standards of academic institution where registered
• Show before and / or when services to humanitarian or health care
• Demonstrate financial need
• Provide references and recommendations
